Komodo Dubs is a series of bass music concerts that have been taking place in and around Montreal since 2007. Since moving to the [SAT] in September 2008, we have been proud to feature some of the most exciting and talented local and international bass music artists on the formidable and finely-tuned [SAT] sound system. We believe in the importance of a good sound system because when it comes to leaving your place and hauling yourself across town to experience a show, having sick bass is one thing (Ok, we admit it, it's almost the only thing), but having on top of that the chance to hear crystal clear detail in the music while literally feeling thousands of watts of low frequency energy pulse through your body is… our idea of a party!

Komodo Dubs is all about exposing the sounds of local and international producers who are making fresh and exotic, bass-heavy, 21st-century music. The night is hosted by Komodo and Hosta, and features guest DJs and producers who bring their own take on sub-bass sounds, be it dubstep, uk funky, grime, future garage, "wot do u call it", dark garage, dancehall, dubwise, jungle, d'n'b, roots reggae, dub techno, or something else that is so heavy and new it doesn't even have a name yet.
